Project
Type: Landscape Design & Installation Client: Brownsburg residential Completion Date: July 1997 Project Description: (please see below) Design: The design on this project posed concerns due to the existing landscape. The customer desired a more open and airy look to the front of their house. The design visualized the removal and/or trimming of trees and shrubs to open up the front view of the home. Special considerations had to be given to the type of plants used because of the amount of shade at the site. The site also featured very large established trees that the customer did not want to lose or damage. FLI worked with the customer to provide the most practical renovation and installation solutions without harming or removing the mature trees. Installation: Much of the installation project included the removal and/or transplantation of the existing landscape plants and trees. Heavy equipment could not be used for fear of damage to irrigation and landscape lighting systems that were existing and needed to be kept intact. After all removal was done crews began transplanting the salvaged plants and trees, then installed shade tolerant shrubs to enhance the color and view. FLI employed a three-person crew on the job and the package was completed in one and one half week. Initial installation price total: Approximately $12,000 |
